Aspen Ladd
Aspen Ladd first began training in combat sports as young as 14. She was trained in boxing, kickboxing wrestling and BJJ before making her first amateur appearance at 18 in WCFC in a fight against Jaimee Nievera. Ladd built on this victory and then went on to a three-fight win streak at Ultimate Reno Combat finishing her opponents in the opening round of all fights. She then returned to WCFC and defeated Leslie Rodriguez by unanimous decision. Aspen beat Silvia Babaeghian and Maddy Simmons before fighting Cynthia Calvillo in WCFC 9. Cynthia was defeated by Aspen with a majority vote. The loss put a mark on Ladd's amateur record. Ladd beat Roma Pawelek on Tuff n Uff, and increased her amateur record to 8-1. Aspen began her professional career in 2015 after signing with Invicta FC. Invicta eleven saw Aspen slay Ana Carolina Vidal to score an KO early in the round. Her next bout was a win against Amanda Cooper via second-round armbar submission, and then moved up to bantamweight to fight at Invicta FC 16. Aspen's superior wrestling skill took down McGill, and she managed to finish her third round via TKO (elbows as well as punches). Aspen was then up against Jessica Hoy (138.1lb at Invicta FC) at a "catchweight"(138.1lb), because Ladd failed to make an appearance at the. Aspen, however, dominated Hoy by using TKO. Invicta FC21 was her final bout in the organization. She defeated Sijara Ebanks in a unanimous decision. Aspen Ladd made her UFC debut at UFC Fight Night 118 against Lina Lansberg. She outclassed Lina as she ground-and-pound hit her for a TKO victory in the 2nd round. Ladd continued to dominate and picked up a more impressive victory in her next match against Tonya Evinger at UFC 229. Ladd ended Evinger during the first round. She also received her a night's performance bonus. The first big fight she fought in was during her subsequent fight at UFC Fight Night dos Anjos in which she faced. Lee against Sijara Eubanks in an Invicta FC rematch. Ladd's victory was a unanimous decision as well as the Fight of the Night award was awarded to each fighter. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie put an end to Ladd's winning streak with just 16 seconds. She came back to finish Yana Kunitskaya during the third round of UFC on ESPN 7. In a match that was a replacement to UFC, Norma Dumont was her opponent. She lost by unanimous decision.
